Ramen Keisuke, the most established Japanese ramen brand in Singapore, will launch its 10th outlet Ramen Keisuke Lobster King on 20th February. Located at Singapore’s hottest dining destination Clarke Quay, this new 62 seater outlet, which includes alfresco dining, is the second largest ramen outlet under the Ramen Keisuke chain.
Entering the brightly-lit new outlet at Clarke Quay with high expectations, I had the chance to taste the new lobster-flavoured broth alongside their new menu, and was not disappointed!
Well-known for his flair to revolutionise the traditional ramen dining scene, chef-owner Mr Keisuke Takeda is now set to introduce his first-ever Lobster Stock Ramen to mark the opening of his 10th outlet here in Singapore. Leaning on his expertise and knowledge in French culinary method, Mr Takeda continues to showcase his exceptional culinary skills in Ramen Keisuke Lobster King where the all-new Lobster Stock Ramen is available in 4 different styles!
In line with the philosophy behind Ramen Keisuke chain that presents high quality Japanese cuisine at affordable prices, these fine ramen creations are affordably priced from $13.90. Ramen fans can certainly look forward to a ramen dining experience like none other!
Before I tell you about the amazing ramen, first let me introduce this: GREEN TEA COKE! My first time drinking this: green tea with coke specially from Japan! And I LOVED IT! It wasn't too sweet/gassy like coke, and just the right amount of both green tea and coke. So delicious!
All Keisuke's ramen outlets provide customers with free flow hard-boiled eggs and beansprouts! This new outlet at Clarke Quay however, added something special in their beansprouts: black pepper! Certainly spices up the usual beansprouts and it makes for a good appetizer.
Lobster Broth Ramen with Rich Creamy Soup, $14.90
In Ramen Keisuke Lobster King, the winning formula lies in the meticulous culinary approach that takes inspiration from the French culinary style behind the famous French lobster bisque. Mr Keisuke Takeda also uses French rock lobsters specially imported from France. Carefully selected for its characteristic rich and abundant roe and flavour, the shells of rock lobster are first pan-fried, crushed into fine bits and subsequently simmered for 6 hours with a special blend of herbs and vegetables to create the Lobster Broth Ramen (Clear Soup).
To create the creamy texture and unique depth in flavour in for the Lobster Broth Ramen (Rich Creamy Soup), the stock brewing takes an additional 4-6 hours. I tried this and it was so good! However, the soup can get a little too creamy for my liking after awhile, and I've heard that the clear broth would be a much better choice.
I chose the 'all toppings' option which comes with super tender pork belly and chicken char siew, black pepper prawn wontons topped with crunchy bamboo shoots. For diners who wish to have a customised option, you may choose to add-on their favourite toppings from the menu, or even remove toppings that you don't like!
Spicy Miso Lobster Broth Ramen, $15.90
In Miso Lobster Broth Ramen, the unique lobster broth is boiled with a special blend using 3 various types of miso while the curly ramen noodles served in this lobster creation are pan-fried by order. For the local-inspired ramen creation, the Spicy Miso Lobster Broth Ramen is created with blended spices and chilli such as spicy oil, Japanese Ichimi and Sichuan Sansho, making this set to be a more flavourful and aromatic broth designed for local taste-buds.

I would totally recommend the miso soup base to all miso-lovers! I love miso soup and this was amazing. It's a little salty when compared to the lobster ramen without the miso though, but still definitely my first choice.
This chicken karage that comes with their own handmade sauce, which will be made right in front of your eyes!
The sauce comprises of a hard-boiled egg, mayonnaise, japanese onions and such. So delicious together with the chicken! A must-order for chicken-lovers like me.
